A tribute to Brazil’s ancient storytellers. This 4×6‑inch wall piece is handcrafted in clay mixed with naturally inspired pigments, aiming to mirror the warm, sandstone-like surface of the carved panel in your image. The motifs—rhythmic and abstract, possibly echoing symbols, tracing paths of connection—draw inspiration from petroglyph sites across Brazil such as Ingá’s enigmatic glyphs and the geometric carvings near dinosaur tracks at Serrote do Letreiro. Created by early seminomadic groups between roughly 9,400 and 2,600 years ago, these carvings speak of a shared symbolic language that blended ritual, observation, and movement across land and sky. Rendered in a minimalist design, this piece brings an ancient rhythm into the modern space—subtle, tactile, and timeless. Details: Size: 4×6 inches (5x7 framed) Materials: Hand-mixed clay with natural pigments and iron-toned hues Texture inspired by weathered Brazilian rock surfaces and carved geometry Ready to hang Why You’ll Love It: An understated homage to rarely seen Brazilian rock art Earthy texture evokes sun-worn stone and ancient abstraction Ideal for admirers of quiet cultural resonance and refined artisanal design

FAQ

Is this safe for... ?

KIDS: NO.

ANIMALS: NO.

Handle slowly and carefully. There are sharp fragments in this product.

What is the clay made of?

The clay is made with a blend of translucent Sculpey III, iron oxides for pigmentation, and natural pigmented fragments that were hand foraged and processed.

How do I sculpt with it?

Handle slowly and carefully. There are sharp fragments within.

Hand mix the polymer after unpackaging to rewarm the clay and aid in pliability.

To maximize the amount of fragments visible in your piece, roll the clay thin to get the most surface area possible. Use other medium beneath for maximum product use.

Shape your piece normally. Pay careful attention to the surface of your piece. Push the clay around the fragments at the surface of your clay to create the texture you'd like to see.

How do I fire it?

Same instructions as Sculpey III.

275 for 15 minutes per 1/4" thickness.

How do I seal it?

Sealing the clay helps hold the surface fragments in place after firing. I use a few layers of mod-podge for small pieces. For larger pieces, I apply UV resin then mod-podge.
